… sorry I couldn’t resist. This next blog is about legs and boudoir. I love photographing women and this set of images was inspired by wanting to produce something that could be hung anywhere that was subtle enough to not be noticed by everyone walking through the house that the image was infact you … yet personal enough that you and perhaps your partner would appreciate. So I focused on just legs and trying to bring out the persona purely from viewing the legs only. I had great fun shooting this set of images and women of all ages book in for a “clare-louise leg shot please”
Frome Shoot Two
My second visit of the year to frome involed Martin Hinett’s hair artistry, wedding dresses and some rather fabulous models. Once the Hair shoot was complete I just couldn’t resist moving out of the studio and into thestreet’s of Frome again. I had twenty minuites play time before the models had to catch trains back to london, Oh wow did I have fun and lot’s of photogasm’s, once again the bustle and excitement saw us surrounded by passer’s by all enjoying the magic.
Enjoy a selection of my favorites.
Frome Fashion Shoot
Martin Hinett one of my absolute favorite hairdressers, and Truely Sopel an amazing designer commissioned me to shoot a set of images for Truely’s new range of distinct clothing. So off I travelled to Frome, armed with my camera gear, and imagination. Having worked with Martin many times over the years he know’s to just let me “do my thing”. Within an hour we had taken the streets of Frome by storm, locals soon joined in … when innocently walking past with his dogs, I stopped one young man in his tracks and asked if he would mind if I used his dog’s in a shoot… with the street’s buzzing and the inspiration flowing the day went from great to fantastic.
As an added bonus I also went on to win an Award of Excellence in The Fashion category at the UK Master Photography Awards 2009 for two of the images from this shoot.
Here’s some of my shot’s from the day …
The Old Piano …
If music be the food of love … play on … if light be the source of inspiration … create.
I stumbled across what was once a most enchanting mansion on a walk out with my dog one day. As it sat in it’s shell unlived in, unloved and uninspired I walked through the empty corridor’s, stood within it’s empty walls and listened to it’s story.
Within seconds of stepping on it’s land I fell inlove with the Hall and all that it had to tell. I soon stumbled across an outhouse, and there, sat waiting, was an old discarded piano. Mesmorised by it’s beauty as it stood in ruin’s the piano’s music resonated within me and inspired this set of images … one piano, many stories …
Adding to my story 2 of the images from this set of Images won me Awards of Excellence at The Master Photographer of The Year Uk awards 2009 and 2010.
Demelza Hospice Charity
Always in this life we should give aswell as recieve, and every year I undertake commission’s free of charge for a worthy charity. Demelza Children’s Hopsice based in kent is a charity close to a look-alike agent that I have had the pleasure of working wth previous to this project. Wiskin Pr asked me to help produce a set of images using top lookalikes within the industry, with my imagination, and thier trust a set of images was created for The Demelza Charity use. Every one involved in this project not only gave thier services free of charge, but they gave thier heart and soul and ofcourse thier fun !!!
As well as the fun I won an Award Of Excellence At The UK Master Photographers Awards 2010 for one of the shot’s from this set of images.
